The London Marathon – It’s Not Too Late to Run for Charity…

Posted on the 23rd October 2018

Already applied but didn’t get a place?

Regretting not applying now that your running buddies are training for the big event?

It’s not too late: You can still join the thousands of amazing achievers on the 28th April 2019 running, jogging, walking (crawling??!) the 26.2 miles around the iconic streets of London.  AND be supporting a good cause…

Run the London Marathon for Charity

It’s that time of year again where we’re looking for amazing individuals to run the London Marathon for us on 28th April 2019! Here are some reasons why you should sign up to run with us:

1.Make a difference

Volunteer Canoeing

The money you raise will go towards the continuation of funding towards all of our placements, which allow young people to volunteer and gain so many skills and experiences.

2. Motivation

Raising money for charity can give purpose to running the London Marathon and serve as a goal to work towards. If you’re running just for the sake of it, you may start to doubt yourself and feel tempted to give up. You’ll be more inclined to get up and go training in the cold, wet winter months when you know you’re supporting a good cause.

3. Gift Aid

If the people who sponsor you are UK tax payers, an extra 25p for every £1 will be added to their donation. It won’t cost them a penny but it all adds up and helps us!

4. Support from us

Lattitude Marathon Runners

We’ll do as much as we can to support you on your journey to running the London Marathon. Whether that be through giving you fundraising tips, or promoting your sponsorship page on our social media!

5. Run with a friend

You don’t have to do this alone! If you have a friend who’d like to run too, or even a group of you, we’d love to have you on board (we currently have 9 Gold Bond places, so sign up quick to be in with a chance!)

6. Do something amazing!

Running a marathon is an incredible achievement, it takes months of training and it’s probably going to hurt! But, just imagine the feeling you’ll get when you cross that finishing line – it will all be worth it!
